She is pure perfection singing this song. It just gives me goosebumps listening to her rendition. The best so far! The way she glides thru the song is unbelievable, going from lows to highs and back again. And the way she holds those notes...magnificent!!

Four Stars
Absolute beauty...
This is one of those songs that brings the listener the realization that Carpenters were made to create Christmas music. Karen's vocal is outstanding - deep, dark and soulful with a tinge of hope and lilt.
Carpenters, in my mind, have the definitive version of this song.

???Once again, too late on voting but anyway, I give it 5 stars all the way, Cam, you and Rick expressed my own thoughts perfectly. This is truly one that if I should hear it unexpectedly out in a public place, I'm sure I'd have to just stop for a second and listen to it, I mean the song is such a natural for her! When she sings "soon our troubles will be far away" and "hang your star from the highest bough"...the way she carries those words "away" and "bough" are just really Chill FacTOrS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A warm and loving rendition by Karen. I haven't enjoyed it so well since Judy Garland's first singing of it in the movie Meet Me In Saint Louis.

One of my very favorites on this album. This WAS done well by Judy Garland in Meet Me In St. Louis, no doubt about it. And if anyone could take a Garland rendition and improve upon it, it would be Karen Carpenter. This standard Christmas song is one of the most fun for me, as I like Karen's interpretation and reading of it. She sings it with longing, and a bit of "I know how this feels" and it shows in the song. Excellent cover of this wonderful Christmas tune. 5 Stars. Tim
