???I give this 5 stars no hesitation....my very fave of their Christmas ones next to Home for the Holidays. "Sleigh Ride" is very upbeat and fun. R. and K. really enjoyed doing this one. I like the way they put their own individual signature on it, and that makes it even more lovable.

Five Stars
I love this tune. There is nothing better than Carpenters doing an upbeat lighthearted song - and this is one of their best (right along with "Home For The Holidays"). Karen's voice truly shines on this song - I can play this one over and over and never tire of it.

This LeRoy Anderson diddy gets all 5 stars from me. I like the way it's done very much. Karen's rubato entrance is fun - she's making a statement here in the beginning, sort of "conversational" and then, we go into time and it's just right - not too fast, not too slow. It's sort of difficult to sing this song - there are a lot of octave jumps, and lots of words to get into the tune - and of course, Karen does an excellent job of it. I also like the vocal used on the bridge - "There's a Christmas party at the home of Farmer Gray" as it sounds like this fellow is just a bit "corny" in his approach to it. I think it's a fun listen, all the way round. Tim

The part of "The Christmas party at the home of farmer Gray" has always stood out to me as well. An outstanding job all the way around. I love the instrumental versions of this song, but vocally this is about the only one I care for; in fact in most cases, any songs done by the C's sort of ruins other renditions for me (Judy Garland's "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" being one exception.)
