This round features two power hitters; The Eagles' "Best Of My Love" goes against Electric Light Orchestra's "Can't Get It Out Of MyHead". Which one do you want to send to the semi-finals? "Best Of My Love" by Eagles - This song reached #1 on March 1, 1975 for one week. This was the Eagles' fifth top forty hit but their first to reach number one. The song was written by written by Don Henley, Glen Frey, and J.D. Souther. It was originally recorded by the Eagles (with Henley singing lead vocals), and was included on their 1974 album On the Border. Rod Stewart has recently recorded the song for his 2006 album "Still the Same... Great Rock Classics of Our Time". "Can't Get It Out Of My Head" by Electric Light Orchestra - Reached #9 in late february 1975. This was the first song by ELO to reach the top 10. The song was first released on the band's fourth album, Eldorado, in July of 1974. it's the second track on the album coming after "Eldorado Overture", and was released in November of that same year as a single. The song became the band's first top ten single in the US and helped boost American public awareness of the band, however, back in the UK the single and LP failed to chart. In 1978 the song was included on the four track ELO EP (UK release) reaching #34 on the UK charts. The song has appeared on many compilation albums, and a live cover version by Fountains of Wayne appeared on their 2006 album Out Of State Plates.

I really like ELO, but in this case I'm going with the Eagles.
