When was it you first realized music was important to you? How old were you? Did you always listen to music, or was there something that specifically got your interest?
Do you play an instrument? If yes, what? Are you a singer?
Were you in the band? Did you do concert band? Marching band?
If you don't play, would you like to? If so, what instrument? Why?
This time, I'll let YOU start. I'll be back to share my story.
I wish you all the best from here in my corner,
Tim

Music has always been part of my life. My earliest memories of my childhood are my mom rocking and singing me to sleep.
Then until I was about 5, I shared a room with my much older sister and the family RCA Hi Fi stereo was also in that room.
My sis and bro. both had many records...my sis mostly had the "45's"
and bro. and parents had the big records.
We all had a blast especially me, dancing to the faster tunes....Beach Boys, Elvis, Herb Albert ("Tequila") and great instrumentals from The Ventures.
Music meant fun at that time.
Holidays very often involved sing-a-longs or listening to my dad and uncles
play their guitars. Very hard for them to quit once they got going.
They mostly would play country or gospel and the Christmas music. Marty Robbins, Hank williams, the Chuck Wagon Gang gospel.
Johnny Cash and a little Elvis.

Seems the radio was always on either in the kitchen or bedroom.

"WHEN I WAS YOUNG I'D LISTEN TO THE RADIO, WAITIN' FOR MY FAV. SONGS....."

Then siblings married and left and I got my own room and my own
record player and my first Carps. record Close to You .

I don't play an instrument, although at one time I learned guitar,
but it didn't hold my attention or patience.
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
I Love to sing, but not very good at it.
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
I took music class to play a "flute-a-phone" in 5th grade,
but only because I had to, and I never learned to read the music.

I don't play, but if I did, I wouldn't mind a piano.
Piano is such a beautiful instrument and my 2 best friends played.
I'm not a very disciplined person. No great desire to play.
