Wow! What great news!! I'm glad Palma is doing much better. Maybe someday she will be able to post again ... health and time permitting, of course. It would be nice to 'hear' her thoughts on some of the topics active on the forum.

Hey everyone WOW, I need to get to the main forum and start posting some marathon threads, eh? I'm not so good at starting them, but I'll try and jump in on those that have already been started at least. Just stopped by today to let you know a little fun fact. I was quite surprised by an email from our friend Palma this morning, directing me to Fred's new website. I knew Fred was working on one, as we'd discussed it before, but you could have blown me away when I checked out the gallery section. His new website is www.tikirecording.com. Check it out! It's an awesome looking site - and check out the gallery section. Let me know what you think. As always, I wish you all the best from here in my corner, Tim

Nice photos n'at, Tim. All we have to do now is get Palm back here for a basement party. I'm sure that many folks here would love to see her back again, and no doubt there would be many questions about your recording session to be asked. I'm especially glad that you keep us up on what's happening in her world.

So, I've been asked what's going on with me, and I"ll be glad to tell you. Even though it might sound like it, please understand, I'm not complaining - not at all. Truly. But....with these things happening at the same time, I have plenty to do - in fact, more at once than I've had on my plate in a good long while. The company I work for is expanding, which means more recruiting, hiring, interviewing, etc. It's all good, and it's all in a days work. You've all heard that expression, I feel sure - that is, when a door closes another one opens? It's the "hallway hell" that I'm trapped in the middle of, at the moment. I need to get out of the hallway, and through that next door. I'm thinking, anyway, that things might slow down a bit, once that new door opens. Whew! Hope so. I hope you all are well - I hope you are safe and prosperous and happy and healthy. I always wish only the best for the best family of Carpenters supporters, ever. That would be YOU all. Please stay safe, and keep enjoying yourself and each other on the main forum.....one day, sooner than later (I hope), I'll be posting more there with you. I suppose that's all from my world at present. I think of you all often, and as I said, I hope all is GREAT with each of you. Please let us know how you're doing. As always, I wish you all the best from here in my corner, Tim

I love to hear of all your many endeavors Tim. You're facing some high hills to climb, but I have every confidence that you're doing way better than you think. If I was anywhere near able to go to Missouri, and if I could help, just like most of us around here, you know we would. Chins up!

Awesome! Here I am, with a few extra minutes, and I get to spend them here with all of you - all of my Carpenters online family - my friends. I'm delighted to be here. I've just spent the last hour reading and writing on the main forum. I just so loved that. All of you are so creative, so smart, so opinionated (hehehe - that's a GOOD thing), so clever, and definitely so dedicated to Carpenters, Karen in particular, but both Karen and Richard get some pretty good kudos and respect and grattitude. I enjoy coming here because I can "let my hair down" and I can tell you all how wonderful these two performers are, and you KNOW what I'm talking about. A HUGE THANK YOU to each of you who have posted here, giving me additional strength to face the challenges ahead of me - and who just stand in my corner, and let me know it. I so, so appreciate you all. You've been there with me through a lot, and I can't tell you how good that feels. Thanks, everyone, cause I have been inspired by you, and your messages. I have enjoyed at least reading through a lot of the games, and other threads (a song within a song), etc., that I found on the main page. How you left brained folks think up all those logic puzzles and other things just surpasses me.....I enjoy watching you all go after and solve the puzzles, but yikes! I can't logic my way out of a paper bag. But, I'm happy with my heavily influenced "right brain." Thank God, over and over again, for my music.....and my music making abilities. It's truly my salvation. BEANER, BEANER, BEANER!!!!! WAY OVER 1,000 POSTS NOW. I was planning on catching you right at 1,000 posts and make a big deal about it, cause we should - but you know, you've already surpassed it in a short time.....but that's a lot of posts, and a lot of time, and a lot of your thoughts you've shared with us. Thank you for that. Thanks for sharing that part of you who loves K and R with the rest of us here who do. I've so enjoyed getting to know you through this forum. Rick, I continue to truly appreciate you and the time and energy you put into keeping this forum up, active, interesting, and lively. I used to think I knew what time planning and organization was all about, but I've learned in the past few months I didn't really have a clue. So, what I mean by that is - I recognize that with all the sites you have on the internet, and I visited at least 4 of them this week, three on the internet, and one on MySpace....and it takes a lot of time for you to keep all of these up and going...for all of them, but especially for this forum, MY BEST THANKS to you. I have always recognized that you did a lot, but never as much as I do, currently. THANK YOU. Yes, I thought I knew about working with the government and the pitfalls that came with it, but I'd only scratched the surface before. Fortunately, my mom didn't have to live in a nursing facility except for the last 2 months of her life. She got to remain in her own home. It took a lot for us boys (4 altogether) to take care of her on a daily basis, requiring more and more time every day, seemingly, but she was not at the mercy of the government.....and for that I am grateful. So far, my aunt has not had to be at the government's mercy, either - but the time is coming, and quickly. I have literally spent thousands of dollars since October on care. All of the money she saved - all of the retirement income and social security income that she gets - it all goes for care. I'm knocked-out at how quickly money goes....thousands at a time. Ooofah!!! And, in order to qualify for Medicaid one must literally spend down to their last $999.99 - that is all one can have - no life insurance benefits (unless you assign those to the funeral home to pay for the funeral) - no house - no other assets - NOTHING except $999.99. Well folks, I've almost done it - almost spent all the money....and I've been working on getting all of my aunts possessions placed in storage - my wife, Jenn and I have gone through literally every single piece of paper, every button, sheet set, statue, piece of furniture, light bulbs, kitchen cooking utensils, pots, pans, UGH! All the things one has in a home. It's either been given away, donated, or put in storage. I've had the house repainted on the inside, and freshened up, in order to sell it. She's had this home since 1959. It's tough to just sell it, but it has to be done. I'll stage it this weekend, as the painters will be done, and then we'll put it on the market. Of course the housing market is a buyers market, but I think there will be buyers who will see the rewards of this home; as it's truly been well taken care of over the years. So, I've just completed the Medicaid app for the second time. I have had to simply learn to "Let go and Let God." It works, but somedays it's not easy. The government is wonderful, but trying to understand them, and/or get them to understand you is an animal all its own. Good luck to any of you who have to go down this road. Hey, it's all good. I've no complaints. I'm blessed, and I know it. I just don't have much time - and somedays, it's more frustrating than others. But look - I get to come here. I get to read what you've written - I get to laugh at your funnies and smile as I read through your threads. So much talent here - so much love. You all are just incredible. Palma sends her love and all her best to each of you. She asked me to be sure and relay that to you, and to tell you that one day, sooner than later, she'll be back to post her own thoughts. Until then, she asked me to be sure you knew how flattered she is that we talk about her, and recognize her for the good "friend" that she has become to all of us, and for all the well-wishes. She is doing spectacularly, in terms of her health, and I know that makes you all as happy as it makes her....and ME! She wanted you all to know. Finally, I've just completed a rather lengthy new blog at Martini's Musings. I'm disecting the Broadway Musical WHAT THE HELL, NELL. Boy, that is a lot of fun....and another time consumer. But I absolutely love doing this, and invite you all to stop by and read and then leave your comments! Here's the link: www.creativesoulrecords.com/pascale/journal.htm I look forward to your comments! For now, as I have the election results droning on in the background, I realize the hour is, once again, late. I have enjoyed getting to write a bit here in Tim's Corner. I do have some plans for some new threads where you and I will be able to "interact" more, and I'm looking forward to getting those threads started. Soon and very soon we'll be doing just that. Until then, I wish each and everyone of you the very best. I wish you prosperity....harmony....peace....divine order.....justice.....understanding......love and happiness! ".... I'll leave you the gift I own to be where I'm not... In the mind of the ear and the heart....I'll be there although we are apart~ You won't be without me here~ I'm in the song you hear~ And...if you can hear THE SONG...you're here....with me! I'll leave you the MUSIC - I'll leave you my soul~ All I have, all I love, all I know~ will remain with you.....when I go ...." [c/ppascale 2002] And, so it is. I wish you ALL the BEST from here in my corner, Tim

Martini's Musings reads GREAT! You have such a nice flow to your writing. Thanks for keeping us informed about Palma and company ... and for giving us the back stories and a behind the scenes glimpse of Palma's music. Thanks wj7. I appreciate you taking the time to read through this, and I'm happy to know it does give you a bit of back story behind the making of the musical. I love the music, and find the stories fascinating. And, when Palm tells them, well - I just laugh and laugh, and......laugh. She's SUCH a hoot. And my gosh, there are a million stories. Too funny. THANKS RICK - yeah, I really enjoy the primary coverage, and all of the election stuff. We typically have it on at least a bit every single night, and typically on CNN, although we've been enjoying the banter on Countdown with Keith Olbermann. Hmmm.... Katt, I always SO appreciate your comments ... they make me smile, and I'm happy that my ramblings interest you - and O.E., you too - thanks for your support and encouragement. Ming, I appreciate your comments as well - it's great to keep caught up with all of you. It's AWESOME. You all are just the best there is. Anyway, I have not been able, yet, to start my threads here in Tim's corner, but I'm getting closer to being able to every single day....I do have the house finished and now on the market, and I have had lots of lookie-loos......so I'm hoping for a quick sale. Two other homes on that block sold between 10 and 20 days, and I priced it to move. Someone will be getting a very nice home, for a very nice price, believe me. One more bit of news before I sign off this noontime. Two bits, actually. We got about 12-14 inches of snow at my house overnight last night. It was a beautiful unspoiled blanket of white very early this morning when I woke up, with not even tracks having been made in the street by then. It was very cool, as it was still snowing hard, and everything was very quiet. Now, of course, the streets are icy/deep with snow in some places, slush in others. It will be gone soon, I feel sure. IT WAS 72 ON SUNDAY. If you like weather changes, just come to Missouri and wait an hour or two - the weather will change, believe me. Finally, today is the day Palma has her LAST surgery. She's been messing with this whole thing for way too long for her taste, I'm sure - so it will be nice for her to know that all of it is, once and for all, behind her! Thought you'd like to know in order to keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Fred is going to call me and let me know how she did as soon as the surgery is over, so I'll happily pass that along to you. I'm sure it will be good news. Everyone take good care of yourselves. Thanks for stopping by! I wish you all the best from here in my corner, Tim

Thanks Tim, for the update on Palma and we are thankful indeed she is doing so well. She has become a friend to all os us- especially you; thanks for being such an encouragement to her. We hope the house transaction goes quickly, and we continue in prayer for you and the family. I'm glad the 72 degrees was before the twelve inches of snow and not after; otherwise you'd have a big mess.

Hey thanks, O.E. - yes, it's getting warmer today, and MELTING all that snow. It may take a few days, but it'll be gone soon. They say we "might" get more over the weekend, I just heard. Yikes. I talked with Palm this morning - she is funny, even so soon after surgery. We talked for a long time....She told me several halarious stories about her stay, and she sang to me several times on the phone. I laughed a lot. She wanted me to give everyone her love and thanks for all the positive loving thoughts and prayers. One day, she says, she'll be back here.....to post, and catch up with everyone. It's just awesome that all of this is finally OVER! Good news all the way round. I wish you all the best from here in my corner! Tim
