Hi everyone! I've added a photo [of myself] to the member forum, as well as a few pics to the main forum's photo site, which are of course Carpenters related. Best wishes to all, magiclamp

I'm intrigued most by the pic of Karen's needlepoint frame for Richard's 40th birthday. Karen obviously started this way ahead of R's 40th as R's 40th didn't happen until 3 years and 8 months after Karen's passing. Is there a story behind this?

Hi Rick, Hmmm, this has really got me thinking... and now I'm beginning to wonder if perhaps this was a frame that Karen made for their parent's 40th wedding anniversary?!!?! I am so embarrased, but I just don't remember. Oh my gosh, I've been senile for so long! I'll have to ask a friend who was there with me, - and perhaps they can refresh my tarnished recall! In the meanwhile, thank you for your patience. Sincerely, magiclamp

I like their family picture...then I remember that Karen just stands as tall as my armpit! I'd have been a giant among the Lilliputians!

I've posted a picture of myself when I went to Los Angeles, and of course, visited the Walk of Fame, Hollywood Blvd., the Chinese Theatre and the Kodak Theatre. I was there for the first time in 1995 but most recently, during 2003, I had the chance to go back and a friend of mine took the picture with me and The Carpenters star. A really treasure for me, since I live so far far away. I promise myself that next time I'll go to Downey and to the Carpenters Performing Arts Center.

Merlin made a funny! L O L! I made a funny with the member pic. The pic I uploaded of "myself" may or may not be "myself." That is all I am saying. Consider this one funny pic a late and wholesome April Fool's joke done in totally good humor.
I was just going to leave my one pic of "myself" alone and wait for folks to find it, but I thought that would be mean. So, if you want a quick giggle, check out the picture of "myself."
