I'm glad to keep track. Maybe we should have another contest. Who can guess how many times "Darling" will be heard before the end of the log? Totals as of 1418 P.T. on Dec. 11 (including the "Home For The Holidays" that I heard Friday):
Merry Christmas Darling- 96, Have Yourelf A Merry Little Christmas- 43, Christmas Song- 33, Home For The Holidays- 29, Sleigh Ride- 16, Do You Hear- 10, Christmas Waltz- 8, I'll Be Home- 4, White Christmas- 2, Santa Claus-2, Carol Of The Bells-2

Wisejester7... what's the name of the Louisville station - I'd love to give it a listen.
Today I heard only one C's Christmas tune:
"The Christmas Waltz" - one time

The Louisville station is lite 106.9. lite1069.com/If you go to the 'last songs played' page, you can rate the songs (The scale is 1-7; 7 is tops.) There is also a place to say they are playing the song too much. I thought this was an interesting way to get feed back from the listening public. They give the artist and song name and there is a link to the artist's biography. You can also hear a small clip of the song and get a link to it's CD.

I don't know whether you are including UK airplay this season... but if you are, my fella heard "Merry Christmas Darling" & "Sleigh Ride" on the same day on London's Magic 105.4
Cheers guys! Leo

Most certainly U.K. airplay is included (anyplace on earth) and the "Darling" and "Sleigh Ride" you reported will be counted in the next tally. Thanks!

I really thought more people would report the Carpenters songs they were hearing. At first, I knew the reporting would be slim because it was so early in the season, but surely now stations are getting in the Christmas spirit.
I'll report back a little later tonight with my songs for the day.

Hey Hey!!! FINALLY, Springfield MO played Merry Christmas Darling, again. Told you this would be the one I'd hear during the season. Typically, it's the one this station generally plays - they seemed to play it a lot more last year - every time I got in the car, I heard it...that, and Kenny and Wy's version of Mary Did You Know. This year, it seems that the song I'm hearing the MOST is Josh Grobin's Oh Holy Night. Oh well....I cranked it this evening when our sweet Karen was singing MCD! wj7 - thanks for supplying the link to the radio station...think I'll try and tune into that tomorrow, myself. Tim

Today I heard two Carpenters Christmas tunes:
"The Christmas Waltz" "Sleigh Ride"
Looks like so far a total of eleven different Carpenters Christmas tunes have been reported as being played on the radio. That's excellent and the tunes being played are from both "Christmas Portrait" and "An Old Fashioned Christmas".

Wow - I am stoked! Right here on our lousy station, I just heard Do You Hear What I Hear. So pleased to know Carpenters are getting more airplay than only MCD here in Springfield! AND....I also heard Home For The Holidays, today. What a great treat!
