## Christmas is the time of year when the Carpenters pick up a large contingency of new fans, because of the major airplay they receive with several of their wonderful Christmas tunes. Earlier this evening I drove to the grocery store which is only five minutes from my house. On the way to the store I was channel surfing on my radio and came across "Merry Christmas Darling", it sounded so great on the radio, so fresh and new sounding, like as if it were released this year. karen sounds ever so beautiful on this song. At the end of the song the radio ID comes on, it was KFSH commonly known as THE FISH. The Fish is a Christian music radio station which plays predominantly modern Christian rock and pop. I felt this was quite an honor for this station to be playing the Carpenters. There are no boundaries as to where Carpenters music is played. I went in the store to buy some water and when I got into my car once again I changed the radio station this time to KEARTH 101 (an oldies station), I caught the tail end of "Sitting On the dock Of The Bay" and right after that came on "Merry Christmas Darling". I was in Heaven to hear this wonderful song on my ride to the store and on my ride back home. The Carpenters were played on the radio twice in less than twenty minutes - probably even more than that - but twice that I myself heard. Hooray for Christmas and hooray for the Carpenters Christmas music.
