Hey Everybody,
I'm a 25 year old girl from Germany and a huge Carpenters Fan. This is the first Forum I ever entered, so everything is really new to me and I am not used to it. But I am soooo happy that I finally found so many kindred spirit here and I'm really looking forward to get in contact to other Carpenter Fans like you are. This is really exciting for me!!!

A big warm welcome, carpentersgermany! I really like your avatar. Sorry for the late response to your arrival. I haven't been able to be on the computer much for the last few days.
Have fun looking around the site. There is a lot going on and much to read and enjoy. We would love to learn more about you, too, so please chime right in with any comment on a posted thread or start a new one and we will join right in.
Again, WELCOME CG!!
p.s. I hope you don't mind if I just type 'CG' instead of 'carpentersgermany'?

wisejester7, thank you so much for your nice words! I'm really enjoying looking around this site and reading your interesting comments. It's almost like 7th heaven to me, because before entering this forum I never had anyone to share my love for the Carpenters music with. Of course, I'm absolutely OK with the 'CG'. I admit, I wasn't at my most creative moment when I "created" my nickname. It's a bit too long maybe..

WELCOME I think it's wonderful that you, like many of us here, have stumbled upon the wonderful Richard and Karen Carpenter Avenue. I felt the exact same way when I first realized I had landed in the middle of a bunch of wonderful people who felt the same way as I did about the Carpenters and their music. It was just like having the biggest and best lollipop on the block! I, too, was just in 7th Heaven, so welcome.....and we're really glad you're here! There are many knowledgeable people on this forum - many, many. I always had thought I knew a lot about this duo - at least, about the music, but as I have said before, I learn something new almost every time I visit. Almost 4 years since I joined up here, and I still am learning. Rick has kept a fine site up for us, and the other members have become like family. A big sincere welcome, and we hope to hear much, much more from you. Tim PS - Stop by Tim's Corner any time. We'd love to have you visit all the areas of the forum.

Welcome C.G! We all find great inspiration from the Carpenters work, and from the interaction with one another here- your insights and observations are always welcome; like Tim said, we all learn things here each time we visit.

Hi YesterdayOnceMore, hi ps11932! I just have to repeat how happy all your nice posts make me. I'd say I'm quite good when it comes to face-to-face-communiation, but I've never been to a forum like that. So at first I wasn't sure how to behave. But with your kind words you actually make it quite easy for a new member to join the conversations. I just have to say thank you for that! YesterdayOnceMore: you said you thought you knew a lot about the C.'s. I just have to say that I don't know that much about the group itself, I just absolutely love their music and listen to them all day long. So I think you can imagine how exciting it is to read all of your knowledgeable comments!

Glad to see you've been stopping by for regular visits. There is so much to learn about Carpenters' music. It spans so much further than the hit singles that everybody knows. So far your command of the English language is very good.

CG -
I think you will find us to be a pretty easy going bunch. We like to discuss all sorts of topics, but most are related to Karen, Richard, the Carpenters, or music in general. We do wander off the regularly beaten path from time to time. None of us seem to stand on ceremony.
BTW, you can shorten my 'name' too ... a lot of folks around here call me wj7. It's a lot easier (and quicker) to type.

Ah, HA~ I can SEE it. Thank you sir Rick. CG, this is a lovely photo, and thanks for sharing your pic with us - it's really good to put that face with the name - you're right about that - and this is a great shot! My photo comes and goes in my avatars as I change them, so you'll catch mine if you haven't already, at some point. Thanks again Rick for getting this is a good format for us to view it, and thanks to you too, CG , for sending this along so we know who it is we're communicating with!
