Hello everybody! 
I'm Patricia (Pat), from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I loved The Carpenters since I was 13 years old and a friend of mine gave me a cassette taped with some of the songs from "The Singles 1969-1973". I instantly fell in love with Karen's angelical voice and I became a huge fan, bought all their LPs (vinyl yes, believe me, I'm 45 now) and when I travelled 2 or 3 times to U.S. bought all the cd's I found. Then I finished my collection buying the items I didn't find before by Internet and I think I've got everything now, the old LPs and the cd's.
I was also a member of the old fan club (the first one I think) during the 70's. I treasure a pencil, the newsletters and a magazine they sent me by then.
After that and until was over many years ago, I was member of the Newville Avenue Carpenters Mailing List, established by Randy Schmidt, where I found wonderful virtual friends, all devoted to The Carpenters and I knew a lot of information about Karen and Richard.
So this is my introduction for now, forgive me if I made any mistake because English is not my native language, and I hope to make a lot of new friends here, all sharing the love and admiration for the wonderful music of Richard and Karen Carpenter. Forever.
