Hi Kindred Spirit, Welcome! I hope that you enjoy this forum, and sharing your thoughts on the gorgeous music of Karen and Richard Carpenter. As the years go by, I am amazed at how much I love their music and never tire of that VOICE! How did you come to know the Carpenters? What is your fave song and album? How did you feel about Karen's untimely death?
Anyways, welcome to this forum!
Cameron

Hi kindredspirit! I've never been to Virginia, I've heard it's beautiful. I live in southern California. I enjoy the nice weather, but So Cal is becoming very crowded these days. Do you live in the city or country? Three of us from this forum (that I know of) live in So Cal, that would be Rick Henry and Sammy - the three of us are friends from way back.

Hello there, Welcome! I'm Beaner and have been a fan of the Carpenters since 1970. How long have you been a fan? I'm fairly new to this site as well but thought I'd try and see if I can join up and share my stories and thoughts on the Carpenters as well. This time of year just makes you think of them even more even though I think of them often. I'm involved in a project here at my home. Feel free to check out the website www.picturetrail.com and type in my screen name of ...nymag... where you see the little box that says visit album (this is where you type in nymag). Check it out and you can sign my guestbook too. I invite anyone who'd like to view photos of my project. Take care and talk with you again soon.

Welcome Beaner! Good to have you on board with us. It's nice to meet other CARPENTERS fans...that are just as crazy as us. I consider myself a huge fan, but a newbie fan compared to those who have been around since the very beginning of Karen and Richard's career. I hope to hear some of your thoughts and stories on the Carpenters. Here at this online forum, we love to discuss pretty much everything about Karen and Richard, and thankfully, nothing has ever been in too bad of taste. Anyways welcome!
Sincerely, Cameron

Hi Beaner, welcome to the forum. I'm also a long time fan, since 1971. Love Karen's voice. Thanks for the link. I've viewed your project several times before. I think it's fantastic.
