Hi All, I am a member of several CARPENTERS lists, and to say that I am a fan of their music is an understatement. I love their music. I love Karen's haunting yet angelic voice and Richard's gorgeous arrangements. I was so disapointed in 1989 that I could not be a member of the Carpenters Fan Club, but was able to get autographs and memorabelia on Karen and Richard thru the fan club. I own quite a few albums by the Carpenters and some memorabelia. I also wrote a fantasy story on what if Karen had lived. I always like to imagine what she would be like today, what her career would have been like etc. Did she get her family and white picket fence etc.

Hi Cameron...welcome to the board. It's great that the Carpenters still have a huge fan base. I'd really like to read some of your story on What If Karen Lived. I've often thought what Karen would be like and the music she may have recorded if she lived. It's a shame she left us at such an early age.

Hi All, Thanks for that nice welcome. You can find the story at www.geocities.com/cameronlongo/ And it is on, Carpenters Story, I believe...Sorry that my website is not complete, but one day soon. A friend of mine had put it together, but wasn't able to complete it like I wanted to. Also please bear in mind, that the presentation of the story is not how I wanted. I used paragraph indents, and when my friend put it on computer for me, it was just all jumbled together, which can make it a bit difficult to read. Also, this story is just fiction, and in some ways, not very realistic. I started a chapter as a joke for a friend of mine named Mikel (in Spain), and he liked it so much he kept asking for another chapter, and then another. So the story will seem quite unbelievable at times, or you will think...How is that possible! It was more of a fantasy of...the adventures Karen could have if she had lived...etc. My thoughts, Cameron Longo clongo83@hotmail.com

:)hi Cameron and welcome to this board. I'm also fairly new. It's always great to link up with another fan and learn what they know or their ideas about things, or what memorabalia they have. I will read your story. Needless to say, you did see R. and K . concert. and so when was that or when were the occasions you saw them? I never had the great priviledge, but always been a fan. Grew up with their music. smoothie
