I have the original "A Song For You" CD and I bought recently the remastered version. The first one contains majority(with exceptions) the remixes of the last one and nothing more, but the remastered CD possess a booklet with the lyrics, the ilustrations and the little heart picture contained in the old LP, besides, extensive liner notes by Richard . I find strange that my remastered "Now and Then" CD doesn't have the lyrics and the beautiful pictures of antique cars contained in the inner sleeve of the old LP. I wonder if this happens with the remastered versions of A Kind Of Hush, Horizon, Passage and Made In America. I know that the booklet of Singles 69-73 was restored totally. I know too that Ticket To Ride, Close To You and Carpenters (tan album) don't have lyrics .

All the lyrics, liner notes, pictures, etc on the remastered editions of "Horizon", "A Kind Of Hush", "Passage" and "Made In America" are identical to the original vinyl releases. Nothing new added - but nothing was left out. When I bought each I was hoping for extra liner notes as in "A Song For You" - but I am happy to have them just for the enhanced sound quality.

I own all the remastered CD's and I'm very happy with them. But like Rick Henry I wish the others would have extended liner notes.

Thank you very much the two . I'm not so happy with the sound of the remastered version of A Song For You. I hear noises, clips, hiss and oscilations, but, at least , is the "original sound" we heard on radio stations and turntables. The A Song For You first edition (original CD) is cleaner than the remastered. In the first verse of Bless The Beasts And The Children, in the part "for in this world they have no VOICE, they have no choice" there is a creaking.

HEY!!! I miss the beautiful black silhouettes of the Carpenters that was in the trimming or alette of the old LP. It isn't in the two CD versions of ASFY.

I do hear some minor creaking and hissing - but not enough to interrupt the quality of the sound. What is most important to me is that the volume level has been enhanced. In earlier CD editions the volume was always very low. Whenever I would play multiple discs - I'd always have to turn the volume up on Carpenters discs, so the sound level would be the same as discs played previously.

Rick Henry or somebody here: Do you own the remastered CD and LP format of Lovelines ?. I have the first edition CD, no the remastered CD, and I wonder if the booklet of this last one, or the LP, have the lyrics or extra photo. Did the LP have booklet or inner sleeve?. By the way, mine has a beautiful booklet with liner notes, credits for each song and the inside photo used in the cover of Interpretations .

I have "Lovelines" on record, but mine came with a plain white inner sleeve. But the back cover has the photo which was used on interpretations and includes the history and and credits for each song.
I had the cassette at one point and that had the same booklet which is in the CD. I don't have the remastered edition of "Lovelines", my copy is one of the original releases.
