I think this is such a great video, one of their best. But when I watch I always think karen is soooo beautiful. I really like the way she looked in 74-75, her hair was so beautiful and cool it is a shame that she didn`t keep it. She really looks great, I can undestand that she caused quite a reaction that day she walked into studio D at A&M and everyone was telling her how great she looked. This was also before she got to be too thin but sadly peoples response just triggered her anorexia even more as she got feedback on how great she looked.
But she was truly beautiful!!!

Hi All, Yes, I think too that Karen looked great in this video. I love her brown cascading hair falling down. As Ev had stated, that Karen's hair was 3 inches below her shoulder, but it was more like 5 or 6 inches below her shoulder. I love her outfit. I wonder though...Is this the same jacket that she had worn on the inner album cover of THE SINGLES 1969-1973? Great song. Once again Richard looks mellow, and appears to smile a bit. Karen was having a ball. My sister Debbie and I used to watch this video over and over again. We would laugh hilariously that Richard got stuck with Goofy, while Karen got the cool gang of Disney Characters to hang out with. I love her jeans and the embroidery on them.
PS. When Karen got thin in 1974...she was very slender...watch the Perry Como Christmas special and she was thin. But still looked beautiful as anorexia had not totally ravaged her yet, as she would look in 1979 and onwards...

once again Cameraon, I agree with you. Her outfit is so cool! Wonder why she gave up that hairdo as it was great and aslo popular into the 80`s. Maybe she got problems with her hair like many anorectics do. I do remember reading that she was not anorectic in 74, that didin`t kick of before 75 if I remember correctly. She had just started to diet. As you can see on the We`ve Only Just Begun(from a 73 tv show I believe) she was abitt plumper than before and it was after this she lost some weight with further weightloss and anorexia in late 74/75.
But the video, Karen looks like she`s having a great time and she probably did eith her love for Disney. Ricjard almost look scared when Goofey pops up. And he looks stern with his mind somewhere else when they are singing in the boatthingy.

Karen did look great in the "Please Mr. Postman" video. She also looked really good in the video for "Only Yesterday".

I think her duet with Perry Como was in 75 but she must have started dieting after the Japan tour 74. I don't know if the Mr. Postman video was in 74 or 75 but it must be right after the tour she definetly looks thinner. And I am sure Only Yesterday is very much after that because she looks thin. It's a shame she didn't stop dieting at that point because she was beautiful then! Many people liked her in 72 but I think she looks best around the Horizon album. I guess we all agree she should have stopped right there.

My favorite part of this video is near the end when they are about to go in the tunnel and Richard is singing along and he seems to get distracted and then realizes "Oh, I've got to start singing!" and starts again. I just think that is so funny!

I love this video too, laugh alot and get a real hearty laugh when at the end of the video Richard realizes that they are in a dark tunnel and it surprises him( scares him ) and Karen looks over with a ( caught you being surprised ) smile the whole video is like that, Karen being Karen having fun in her charming, humours way, always ready to play a joke on someone, or just make a funny face just beautiful

This video was part of a big screen video welcome in Orlando this summer at Gay Day /Disney at our Gay Day World Welcome Center - - and having worked the show for two days..... i was amazed at the comments on this video - - the number of people who had never seen it, and even the tears of Carpenter fans. What a classic.

Yes I do like this Video but OY I like alot better. As for Karens dieting it was 1974 when they complimented her weight loss but they said for her to stop there so nobody was encouraging her to lose more weight and be anorexic also in 1975 and from then on they were trying to get Karen to put weight back on but I suppose in Karens eyes the compliment on weight loss or the comments inj general on her weight was the excuse she needed to continue down the diet road which accompanied by other things led her to the eating disorders. I think it was the "other things" rather than the comments on her weight that caused Karens illness. Anyhow back to the Postman video Karen looked like she was having such a ball in this video she must have been in heaven when she was in Disneyland and as usual Richard was his serious self, he almost seemed bored. I wonder what would really excite Richard and put a smile on his face besides creating music. This video is kinda cool. I also liked Karens look at this time she was a little underweight but she still looked relatively healthy and beautiful.

: : : : Karen still looked great in the PMP video. I agree she was somewhat underweight but she still looked healthy and still had that upbeat expression on her face. But by the time the "Only Yesterday" video was filmed it looks like Karen lost a good amount of weight. she still looked good but you could see that something was going on. Like you Enigma I love both videos but I like "Only Yesterday" just a bit better.

I was gone most of yesterday and today - I have a bad case of the stomach flu - no fun.
I also love the "Calling Occupants..." video. There are two of them. My favorite is the one on the "Interpretations" video/DVD with the trippy shot of Tony Peluso.

By the way, Rick..., I tried to re-post the Tony Peluso pic that I once posted and it doesn't show up. I verified where I posted it and it's not there either.
I verified in the Wallpaper section and it seems that the settings of the forum for accepting pics as been changed, since the upgrade. Many of my Wallpapers are gone..., I think it as something to do with the length of the pic name(All You Get From Love Is A Love Song, Merry Christmas Darling, some Rainy Days And Mondays, etc...).
If you can't fix it I'll have to redo them again, someday.
Nothing's wrong with my photo host..., or when the pics are posted on other forums on the web. [glow=red,2,300][/glow][shadow=red,left,300] [/shadow][shadow=red,left,300]Roland Chayer[/shadow][shadow=red,left,300] [/shadow]
