I tried to find an ABBA thread here on the Avenue - couldn't find it - have you ever discussed them here in more than just a mention here and there? They were an important part of the '70's music - at least over here in Europe. And nowadays their legacy just seems to grow and grow with the ¨Mamma Mia!¨ musical and movie being huge successes - or were they over there in America? I had an "ABBA Christmas" just recently: we watched the movie - a very lightweight story but the music saves it - ,sang ABBA Singstar and I got ABBA The Albums-CD box containing almost everything they ever recorded. It's an overdose but I've survived - although I've heard their music for almost four decades now and even though I always haven't even wanted to - they're just so good! We Finns are not so fond of our neighboring Swedes usually but ABBA is an exception (oh and a lot of other things - we're just jealous) - I also dug Björn Borg the tennis player in the '70's, he was cool! And what a feat for them that the C's sang one of their songs too: www.youtube.com/watch?v=oeYfuTbYYH0Do I remember right that there is an unreleased studio recording of this song? Maybe that line about "I am the girl with golden hair" could've been changed (cause it's for Agnetha...) Let me know about your opinions of this quartet! timo
