The Carpenters are in a dilemma: they are due on stage in less than 5 minutes, and they can't find any of their songs! Unless you come to the rescue, they could be in big trouble.
In the paragraphs below, you will can the titles of more than 20 songs recorded by The Carpenters. Each title may be separated by punctuation marks and/or breaks between words and sentences, but the letters of the title will always be in consecutive uninterrupted order.
Here's good news! I see that more than 15 of you have arrived on the scene and are already assisting with the search. As you find the song titles, make note of your fellow forum members whose names (real or screen) you find, and salute them for their efforts. Apologies to those whose names couldn't be fit in- I know that you are coming, too!
________
The Carpenters need your help. They are without a song. It's your turn- away with your timidity. Remember all the times The Carpenters made you happy? When you called, they came. You're the one, love, who may save the day for them. Our group must help them find a song. For you, it is a golden opportunity. This is no enigma- the time is now! Here, man, to the fray! Be a pal- make an effort. Success may depend on us only. Yesterday is gone- work today. Can we do it? Maybe- it's you who will make the difference. Let's act now, baby- it's your move! I believe you can help find some songs. Sure, it may be tough but in any event I'd expect you to persist. We need effort: make some! Times call for it!
But what's the use of my continual musing? Let us begin. Make no excuses. Don't be afraid. Should there be an error, prress on nonetheless. Don't let The Carpenters be silent. Night is almost upon us. Will you come?
We must assist one another. Son, give your best effort, even if it hurts a little. Girl: blue, red, green,... whatever your color, to the task devote your heart. Waves of joy await.
Of all I have said, this is the sum: O, encouragement is at hand! As you sift through this word pile, O Carpenters fan, you are a part of history! Keep roaming through these word avenues, alleys and streets. Maybe the trick is this: let your efforts be natural and smooth: i.e., steady, even amidst difficulty. If we try, we can succeed. And when we do, clover fields and heather await us; we wil be anointed with balsam- my, what delight! The moment is now very close: to you I issue one last plea- march forward- be a hero- bring The Carpenters through this time of need!

Excellent O.E. - I love the new game. This is tough. But I do see two song titles right of the bat.
"Witout A Song" and "Turn Away"
I've also seen the member name Enigma.

Good One!! Hmmm...well, Ive found 11 songs in the first paragragh and 1 member name. The second section I found 3 songs. The third section I only found 1 song...and the fourth section , well I found 3 songs.
I'm coming up short on the 20 plus songs. I'm really struggling with finding member names! Sorry about that everybody.

Thanks for your time and how cleverly you have put it together! This is fun. I see my name in there. It is a little tricky but but I finally took the time to read this slowly and carely - about 20 minutes.
Like Dreams, I managed to find 22 Carpenters or Karen songs in this puzzle. I wouldn't be surprised if there's atleast one more lurking in there somewhere.
I have also been able to find 15 members names. One is a name of a member we see only every few months and is also a personal friend of mine. He's my Amazon.com connection.

Cool idea. I found 22 Carpenters songs and at least three member's names...Enigma, Palma and Tim.

Great job everyone! And while you are helping The Carpenters, thanks to someone who also helped me with a minor spelling error, making the presence of another member possible. The original had a total of 24 songs and 18 members, but Good Old Draems, and probably others of you, have found 3 song titles and one member present that I didn't even consciously include, making a possibility of 27 songs and 19 members. I'll list them all in a couple days or so, and in the meantime thanks for the help in searching. And remember, even if there should be an error, press on.

O.E. - thank you this was a fun game.
By the way Carpenters never recorded a song named "Clover".

WHAT A FUN FUN GAME ps11932! I logged in a little late last night, and so I only read about 2 paragraphs and jotted down the songs I found. I noticed enigma, , but didn't think about finding or looking for other member names,.....SOOOOOOOOOO and AnYWaY....so without reading your last post with the answers, and not looking for member names, I found only 15. But now, it's still fun to try and find all these that I missed. Really clever of you. I did go "hmmm" especially on the "Clover"...but I surely didn't question it too much, since I do not have every one of the C's albums.... It would really be a task for me to try to come up with all these... impressive!

I think O.E. really meant to say "Heather" (three words later).
