Here we go again...
This should be a tough one...
The Contenders are:
"Anticipation" by Carly Simon "So Far Away" by Carole King
"Anticipation" by Carly Simon - Reached #13 in February 1972. Carly wrote this song while she was waiting for Cat Stevens to pick her up for a date. This song also became famous as the Heinz Ketchup song.
"So Far Away" by Carole King - Reached #14 in September 1971. This song is from the famous album "Tapestry" and features James Taylor on acoustic guitar (Taylor was once married to Carly Simon).

Ditto... Ditto... Ditto...
I have to agree with all that's been said so far.
I absolutely love Carly Simon and the song "Anticipation" is a great song - but my vote goes for Carole King's "So Far Away". This is such a beautiful soulful song with such meaningful lyrics. I have also thought this was a perfect song for Karen to sing.
I went with the likely loser in this round Anticipation but I do like both songs also Anticipation reminds me of the 70's SNL comercial where they played the song while Dan Ackroyd poured lake sluge from a bottle well you had to be there to appreciate the reference anyhow Anticipation is my choice.
Long ago and not so far away I fell in love with you before the second show.
Sorry I got out too late to vote on the Simon/ King thing, but anyway, I just wanted to say I do love both of those women and those songs. And even tho it's too late now, my vote would go for Anticipation. I guess I tend to go more a bit for Carly, since one of the first albums I owned was one of hers, and it was fantastic (tho she hadn't came out with Anticipation yet for that) did sing with her then husband, J. Taylor, Mockingbird. Also when my brother was first learning years ago how to play the guitar, Anticip. was the one he learned first.
