Hi All, I think this song I'LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS is fantastic! Karen sounds sublime! I love her phrasing, and the way she gently encourages you to emotionally listen to this song. A Christmas love song. During the song, she grows more powerfully, starting softly at first. She sings the ending with such passion. What a gorgeous rendition!!
My thoughts, Cameron

Yes, this is a wonderful tune. Karen's reading is gorgeous. And Billy May's arrangement is so beautiful and emotional that he almost -- almost -- steals the song away from Karen.
I was always puzzled that this track did not get much Christmas airplay, as opposed to many of the other tracks on the album. But last year, and now this year, I'm hearing this song a lot on the radio. It deserves to be heard!

Have you ever noticed how long Karen goes without taking a breath? "I'm dreaming tonight of a place I love even more than I usually do"... then takes a breath. I am always amazed are her control. The song is so beautiful in the message, vocal, and orchestration, that Karen's breath control gets taken for granted. What an amazing gift!
