 Help with a song
« Thread Started on Mar 9, 2009, 8:38pm »

Ive found an old cassette which my late late grandad must have taped a Carpenters album onto

There is a song, the 2nd one on the tape of which ive been trying to find the title to for ages and hope someone can help.

The song is an instrumental with a saxaphone playing and piano playing for the whole track, the music is very slow tempo.

Any Clues ?

??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

The Carpenters did very few instrumentals in their time as they were a vocal group.

The two prime instrumentals they recorded during their heydey were "Flat Baroque" and "Heather". "Heather" does not have a saxophone in it.

From your description this does not sound familair to me unless it's one of their pre Carpenters songs and unless your grandad is a diehard Carpenters fan he probably would not have any of the pre Carpenters songs. The two primary pre Carpenters songs that come to mind are "Iced Tea" and "Caravan" but again those songs do not have saxophone.
